Surah As-Saffat

وَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِ صَفًّا 1 🔖 Tafsir

By those [angels] lined up in rows Translation by — Saheeh International

فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًا 2 🔖 Tafsir

And those who drive [the clouds] Translation by — Saheeh International

فَٱلتَّـٰلِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا 3 🔖 Tafsir

And those who recite the message, Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّ إِلَـٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌ 4 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, your God is One, Translation by — Saheeh International

رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِ 5 🔖 Tafsir

Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ 6 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars Translation by — Saheeh International

وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَـٰنٍ مَّارِدٍ 7 🔖 Tafsir

And as protection against every rebellious devil Translation by — Saheeh International

لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ 8 🔖 Tafsir

[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, Translation by — Saheeh International

دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ 9 🔖 Tafsir

Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, Translation by — Saheeh International

إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ 10 🔖 Tafsir

Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍۭ 11 🔖 Tafsir

Then inquire of them, [O Muḥammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created them [i.e., men] from sticky clay. Translation by — Saheeh International

بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ 12 🔖 Tafsir

But you wonder, while they mock, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ 13 🔖 Tafsir

And when they are reminded, they remember not. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ 14 🔖 Tafsir

And when they see a sign, they ridicule. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ 15 🔖 Tafsir

And say, "This is not but obvious magic. Translation by — Saheeh International

أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ 16 🔖 Tafsir

When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? Translation by — Saheeh International

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ 17 🔖 Tafsir

And our forefathers [as well]?" Translation by — Saheeh International

قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ 18 🔖 Tafsir

Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." Translation by — Saheeh International

فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ 19 🔖 Tafsir

It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ 20 🔖 Tafsir

They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." Translation by — Saheeh International

هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ 21 🔖 Tafsir

[They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." Translation by — Saheeh International

۞ ٱحْشُرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ 22 🔖 Tafsir

[The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship Translation by — Saheeh International

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 23 🔖 Tafsir

Other than Allāh, and guide them to the path of Hellfire Translation by — Saheeh International

وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ 24 🔖 Tafsir

And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." Translation by — Saheeh International

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ 25 🔖 Tafsir

[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" Translation by — Saheeh International

بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ 26 🔖 Tafsir

But they, that Day, are in surrender. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ 27 🔖 Tafsir

And they will approach one another asking [i.e., blaming] each other. Translation by — Saheeh International

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ 28 🔖 Tafsir

They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." Translation by — Saheeh International

قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ 29 🔖 Tafsir

They [i.e., the oppressors] will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَـٰغِينَ 30 🔖 Tafsir

And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ 31 🔖 Tafsir

So the word [i.e., decree] of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَأَغْوَيْنَـٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَـٰوِينَ 32 🔖 Tafsir

And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." Translation by — Saheeh International

فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ 33 🔖 Tafsir

So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ 34 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ 35 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allāh," were arrogant Translation by — Saheeh International

وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍۭ 36 🔖 Tafsir

And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" Translation by — Saheeh International

بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 37 🔖 Tafsir

Rather, he [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)] has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ 38 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ 39 🔖 Tafsir

And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - Translation by — Saheeh International

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 40 🔖 Tafsir

But not the chosen servants of Allāh. Translation by — Saheeh International

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ 41 🔖 Tafsir

Those will have a provision determined - Translation by — Saheeh International

فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ 42 🔖 Tafsir

Fruits; and they will be honored Translation by — Saheeh International

فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ 43 🔖 Tafsir

In gardens of pleasure Translation by — Saheeh International

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ 44 🔖 Tafsir

On thrones facing one another. Translation by — Saheeh International

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ 45 🔖 Tafsir

There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, Translation by — Saheeh International

بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ 46 🔖 Tafsir

White and delicious to the drinkers; Translation by — Saheeh International

لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ 47 🔖 Tafsir

No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَعِندَهُمْ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌ 48 🔖 Tafsir

And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, Translation by — Saheeh International

كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَّكْنُونٌ 49 🔖 Tafsir

As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ 50 🔖 Tafsir

And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. Translation by — Saheeh International

قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌ 51 🔖 Tafsir

A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]. Translation by — Saheeh International

يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ 52 🔖 Tafsir

Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe Translation by — Saheeh International

أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ 53 🔖 Tafsir

That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" Translation by — Saheeh International

قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ 54 🔖 Tafsir

He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" Translation by — Saheeh International

فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 55 🔖 Tafsir

And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. Translation by — Saheeh International

قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ 56 🔖 Tafsir

He will say, "By Allāh, you almost ruined me. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ 57 🔖 Tafsir

If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. Translation by — Saheeh International

أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ 58 🔖 Tafsir

Then, are we not to die Translation by — Saheeh International

إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ 59 🔖 Tafsir

Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ 60 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, this is the great attainment. Translation by — Saheeh International

لِمِثْلِ هَـٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ ٱلْعَـٰمِلُونَ 61 🔖 Tafsir

For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. Translation by — Saheeh International

أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ 62 🔖 Tafsir

Is that [i.e., Paradise] a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqūm? Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَـٰهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ 63 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 64 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, Translation by — Saheeh International

طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ 65 🔖 Tafsir

Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَإِنَّهُمْ لَـَٔاكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ 66 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. Translation by — Saheeh International

ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ 67 🔖 Tafsir

Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. Translation by — Saheeh International

ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى ٱلْجَحِيمِ 68 🔖 Tafsir

Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ ضَآلِّينَ 69 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed they found their fathers astray. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ 70 🔖 Tafsir

So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 71 🔖 Tafsir

And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ 72 🔖 Tafsir

And We had already sent among them warners. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ 73 🔖 Tafsir

Then look how was the end of those who were warned - Translation by — Saheeh International

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 74 🔖 Tafsir

But not the chosen servants of Allāh. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ 75 🔖 Tafsir

And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 76 🔖 Tafsir

And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ 77 🔖 Tafsir

And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] Translation by — Saheeh International

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ 78 🔖 Tafsir

And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: Translation by — Saheeh International

سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 79 🔖 Tafsir

"Peace upon Noah among the worlds." Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 80 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 81 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. Translation by — Saheeh International

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ 82 🔖 Tafsir

Then We drowned the others [i.e., disbelievers]. Translation by — Saheeh International

۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ 83 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, Translation by — Saheeh International

إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ 84 🔖 Tafsir

When he came to his Lord with a sound heart Translation by — Saheeh International

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ 85 🔖 Tafsir

[And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? Translation by — Saheeh International

أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةً دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ 86 🔖 Tafsir

Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allāh you desire? Translation by — Saheeh International

فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 87 🔖 Tafsir

Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" Translation by — Saheeh International

فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ 88 🔖 Tafsir

And he cast a look at the stars. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌ 89 🔖 Tafsir

And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." Translation by — Saheeh International

فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ 90 🔖 Tafsir

So they turned away from him, departing. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ 91 🔖 Tafsir

Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? Translation by — Saheeh International

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ 92 🔖 Tafsir

What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?". Translation by — Saheeh International

فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ 93 🔖 Tafsir

And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ 94 🔖 Tafsir

Then they [i.e., the people] came toward him, hastening. Translation by — Saheeh International

قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ 95 🔖 Tafsir

He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ 96 🔖 Tafsir

While Allāh created you and that which you do?" Translation by — Saheeh International

قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَـٰنًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ 97 🔖 Tafsir

They said, "Construct for him a structure [i.e., furnace] and throw him into the burning fire." Translation by — Saheeh International

فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ 98 🔖 Tafsir

And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the most debased. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ 99 🔖 Tafsir

And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. Translation by — Saheeh International

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ 100 🔖 Tafsir

My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." Translation by — Saheeh International

فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ حَلِيمٍ 101 🔖 Tafsir

So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَـٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ 102 🔖 Tafsir

And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allāh wills, of the steadfast." Translation by — Saheeh International

فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ 103 🔖 Tafsir

And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ أَن يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ 104 🔖 Tafsir

We called to him, "O Abraham, Translation by — Saheeh International

قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 105 🔖 Tafsir

You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَـٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ 106 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, this was the clear trial. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَفَدَيْنَـٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ 107 🔖 Tafsir

And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ 108 🔖 Tafsir

And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: Translation by — Saheeh International

سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ 109 🔖 Tafsir

"Peace upon Abraham." Translation by — Saheeh International

كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 110 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 111 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِإِسْحَـٰقَ نَبِيًّا مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ 112 🔖 Tafsir

And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَبَـٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌ 113 🔖 Tafsir

And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself [i.e., sinner]. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ 114 🔖 Tafsir

And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 115 🔖 Tafsir

And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ 116 🔖 Tafsir

And We supported them so it was they who overcame. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ 117 🔖 Tafsir

And We gave them the explicit Scripture [i.e., the Torah], Translation by — Saheeh International

وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ 118 🔖 Tafsir

And We guided them on the straight path. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ 119 🔖 Tafsir

And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: Translation by — Saheeh International

سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ 120 🔖 Tafsir

"Peace upon Moses and Aaron." Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 121 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 122 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 123 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, Translation by — Saheeh International

إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ 124 🔖 Tafsir

When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allāh? Translation by — Saheeh International

أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ 125 🔖 Tafsir

Do you call upon Baʿl and leave the best of creators - Translation by — Saheeh International

ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 126 🔖 Tafsir

Allāh, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" Translation by — Saheeh International

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ 127 🔖 Tafsir

And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], Translation by — Saheeh International

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 128 🔖 Tafsir

Except the chosen servants of Allāh. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ 129 🔖 Tafsir

And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: Translation by — Saheeh International

سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ 130 🔖 Tafsir

"Peace upon Elias." Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 131 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 132 🔖 Tafsir

Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 133 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِذْ نَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ 134 🔖 Tafsir

[So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, Translation by — Saheeh International

إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ 135 🔖 Tafsir

Except an old woman [i.e., his wife] among those who remained [with the evildoers]. Translation by — Saheeh International

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ 136 🔖 Tafsir

Then We destroyed the others. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ 137 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, you pass by them in the morning Translation by — Saheeh International

وَبِٱلَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ 138 🔖 Tafsir

And at night. Then will you not use reason? Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 139 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. Translation by — Saheeh International

إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ 140 🔖 Tafsir

[Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ 141 🔖 Tafsir

And he drew lots and was among the losers. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ 142 🔖 Tafsir

Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ 143 🔖 Tafsir

And had he not been of those who exalt Allāh, Translation by — Saheeh International

لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ 144 🔖 Tafsir

He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. Translation by — Saheeh International

۞ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ 145 🔖 Tafsir

But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ 146 🔖 Tafsir

And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ 147 🔖 Tafsir

And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ 148 🔖 Tafsir

And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ 149 🔖 Tafsir

So inquire of them, [O Muḥammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? Translation by — Saheeh International

أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَـٰثًا وَهُمْ شَـٰهِدُونَ 150 🔖 Tafsir

Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" Translation by — Saheeh International

أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ 151 🔖 Tafsir

Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, Translation by — Saheeh International

وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ 152 🔖 Tafsir

"Allāh has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. Translation by — Saheeh International

أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ 153 🔖 Tafsir

Has He chosen daughters over sons? Translation by — Saheeh International

مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ 154 🔖 Tafsir

What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? Translation by — Saheeh International

أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ 155 🔖 Tafsir

Then will you not be reminded? Translation by — Saheeh International

أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ مُّبِينٌ 156 🔖 Tafsir

Or do you have a clear authority? Translation by — Saheeh International

فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ 157 🔖 Tafsir

Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ 158 🔖 Tafsir

And they have made [i.e., claimed] between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought [to punishment]. Translation by — Saheeh International

سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ 159 🔖 Tafsir

Exalted is Allāh above what they describe, Translation by — Saheeh International

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 160 🔖 Tafsir

Except the chosen servants of Allāh [who do not share in that sin]. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ 161 🔖 Tafsir

So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, Translation by — Saheeh International

مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَـٰتِنِينَ 162 🔖 Tafsir

You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him Translation by — Saheeh International

إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 163 🔖 Tafsir

Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ 164 🔖 Tafsir

[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ 165 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ 166 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, we are those who exalt Allāh." Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ 167 🔖 Tafsir

And indeed, they [i.e., the disbelievers] used to say, Translation by — Saheeh International

لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 168 🔖 Tafsir

"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, Translation by — Saheeh International

لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 169 🔖 Tafsir

We would have been the chosen servants of Allāh." Translation by — Saheeh International

فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ 170 🔖 Tafsir

But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 171 🔖 Tafsir

And Our word [i.e., decree] has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, Translation by — Saheeh International

إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ 172 🔖 Tafsir

[That] indeed, they would be those given victory Translation by — Saheeh International

وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ 173 🔖 Tafsir

And [that] indeed, Our soldiers [i.e., the believers] will be those who overcome. Translation by — Saheeh International

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ 174 🔖 Tafsir

So, [O Muḥammad], leave them for a time. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ 175 🔖 Tafsir

And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. Translation by — Saheeh International

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ 176 🔖 Tafsir

Then for Our punishment are they impatient? Translation by — Saheeh International

فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ 177 🔖 Tafsir

But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ 178 🔖 Tafsir

And leave them for a time. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ 179 🔖 Tafsir

And see, for they are going to see. Translation by — Saheeh International

سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ 180 🔖 Tafsir

Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 181 🔖 Tafsir

And peace upon the messengers. Translation by — Saheeh International

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 182 🔖 Tafsir

And praise to Allāh, Lord of the worlds. Translation by — Saheeh International
